LEILA KHOIY
SHANE SCHEUERMAN
LEILA KHOIY
Leila lived in France for 23 years and earned a law degree from The University Paris X. When she moved to San Jose, CA, she changed her career to tutoring/teaching, since she wanted to be a stay-at-home mom, raising her two sons. After her boys grew older, at her first opportunity, she generously volunteered to tutor teenagers at Leigh High School for three years, while working as a private tutor, as well. Due to her qualifications, the Union School District hired her as a SDC assistant teacher. We are happy to have Leila as a qualified French language teacher and assistant. Since Leila’s first language is French, she is a great source for the families who choose French as a second language for their children.
SHANE SCHEUERMAN
Coach Shane - as one of the students calls him - loves to work with children. In fact, the ability to interact with children and to befriend them is one of his greatest strengths. He coaches and plays soccer with a group of young children weekly, which gives him a lot of experience as to how to motivate children with kindness and respect. Shane encourages them to gain confidence in themselves with physical education and their physical capabilities. We are happy to have him work with as our physical education coach when needed. In following our philosophy the practices are based on implementing, guiding and developing students’ accordingly and appropriately for their individual success and physical education. We also wish Shane great success in his own continuous education.
